Provision is made within the Database File Management (DBFM) system to Delete, Rename, Move and Download files. This topic describes these operations.
BE AWARE: Files that you are currently working on can be deleted, renamed, or moved by a user with appropriate privileges and possibly located on a server remote from the one you are hosted on. If you are a user with these privileges and are intending to carry out one of these actions on a file, it would be appropriate to warn possible users of your intended action.
Right-clicking on any file displays a Context Menu providing the following file editing options. The Preview image option is only available when an image file is selected:

Rename file | Provides the option to rename the selected file. |
File properties | Displays the File Properties dialogue for review or editing. |
Convert to revision | Converts the select file into a Revision Directory. |
Download file | Downloads the selected file to your PC or laptop. |
Preview image | Select this option to preview the image in the DBFM pane. |
Note: Only users with appropriate file access privileges will be able to complete the following editing functions. Other users will be presented with a message box stating that they do not have sufficient privileges to complete the operation. In this situation, select OK to the message and the operation will be terminated.
Right-click on the file you wish to delete and select the Delete File option from the list-box. The following pop-up dialogue will request confirmation of the delete. Select OK to complete the deletion or Cancel to reject the deletion:
Note: Users with insufficient privileges will be presented with a message box. In this situation, select OK to the message and the operation will be terminated.
Right-click on the file you wish to change the name of and select the Rename File option from the list-box. The file name is framed:
Type in the new name or amend the existing name then select Return or Enter to complete the change. Click outside of the box to reject the change.
Notes:
Files can be moved from one location to another using Drag-and-Drop. Files are displayed in the Detail Pane and so cannot be moved from the Detail Pane to the Directory Tree.
Before the move is completed, the following confirmation pop-up dialogue is displayed:
Selecting OK to this message completes the move while Cancel rejects the move.

Select this option or left-click on the file to downloaded the selected file from DBFM to your PC or laptop.
